Watch this short video to see how glamour transforms watchdogs into lapdogs.
Barack Obama is cool. He is glamorous. Reason to vote for him?
The media thinks so. It started with W alter Duranty, who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for reporting on the Soviet Union, yet ignoring the Ukraine mass starvation of 1932-33. It continues today.
This week’s lesson will provide a short video each day explaining why we must replace Barack Obama. Today, watch this short video that shows the hypocrisy of Barack Obama on transparency, healthcare, taxes, fairness, energy and the national debt.
Here are the main points conveyed in the video:
He said he was going to make government more transparent
His administration has done the opposite:
Prosecuted, not encouraged, whistle blowers
Met with lobbyists across the street from the White House to avoid disclosure.
Censored 194 pages of internal e-mails about its Open Government Directive
Closed the transparency award meeting to the media
He said that the Congressional healthcare negotiations would be conducted on C-Span
C-Span access was denied
He said you could keep your present health insurance.
Employers are dropping coverage left and right. That’s what he really wanted in the first place.
He said healthcare costs will not go up
Used funny accounting, matching 10 years of revenues with only 7 years of cost
Took half trillion out of Medicare
Premiums have gone up
He said that everybody is treated the same
Granted massive waivers to unions
He said that Obamacare would not result in a single payer/government run system
However in earlier videos he said he would like to see a single payer healthcare plan
Barney Frank said so too
He said that Obamacare would not result in tax increases on middle class families
However the Supreme Court said that Obamacare (Shared responsibility payment) is a tax.
Obama’s lawyers said so to the Supreme Court. (There are in fact 21 tax hikes.)
He said he was closing tax loopholes for corporations.
GM received bailout, and got a $14 billion sweetheart tax deal, resulting in record profits
He named the CEO of GE to head the president’s Counsel for Jobs and Competitiveness. GE made $5 billion in the US but paid no income taxes
He said the Stimulus Bill turned the economy around and provided shovel-ready projects
GDP declined from 3% in 2010 to 1.9% in 2012.
The bill did not in fact provide shovel-ready projects
He said he would cut the deficit in half by his first term in office
He has raised the national debt by $4.939 trillion since he took office.
Can marriage be redefined without it having an impact on society? NO! The meaning of marriage will change for everyone. Watch this short video to find out why.
Here are the main points of the video:
When marriage is redefined to make it genderless, all sorts of undesirable consequences occur. In Washington State the terms “husband” and “wife” were made to be gender neutral. So, a man can legally be called a “wife” and a woman a “husband.” Do you want your children being taught that men can have husbands and women wives?
In California and Canada children are taught that they can “choose” their own gender. Fourth graders are taught that they can choose to be a boy or a girl or even both genders. “It’s up to them.” In Canada elementary school children are taught that there are as many as six genders.
In California, gay rights groups are demanding that children can have three legal parents. Why stop at three? Why in fact not allow three or more people marrying? The arguments used for gay marriage are the same arguments used by those advocating polygamy.
Those are just some of the consequences of redefining marriage. Marriage is one man and one woman. That is what’s best for society and for children. Vote Yes for the Minnesota Marriage Protection Amendment
A Look at Consequences of “gay marriage” in Europe
Several countries in Europe have legalized same sex marriages for years. This short video explains the consequences.
Here are some of the consequences of legalizing “gay marriage” in Europe:
In 2004 Swedish pastor Ake Green was sentenced to one month in jail for showing disrespect to homosexuals in a sermon he delivered from the pulpit in 2003. In Sweden the Disrespect Law trumps both freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
Since the Netherlands have passed same sex marriage, the out-of-wedlock birthrate has skyrocketed, increasing 10-fold since 1980.
In England, even though same sex marriage has not been legalized, there is an atmosphere of oppression of those who believe in traditional marriage as a Law Society bans a marriage conference because it contradicts the Law Society’s diversity policy!
A Christian counselor was disciplined for helping a gay patient who had asked for her help to overcome homosexual attraction.
There certainly are consequences for redefining marriage. Vote Yes for the Minnesota Marriage Protection Amendment to prevent that happening in Minnesota .
Consequences in Canada for recognizing Gay Marriage
Canada has recognized gay marriage for many years. In this short video, see what negative consequences have occurred.
Here are the some of the consequences of recognizing “gay marriage” in Canada:
A national sportscaster, Damian Goddar was fired for tweeting his support of traditional marriage.
Bishop Fred Henry of Calgary was investigated by the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal for writing about the Catholic Church’s teaching about homosexuality in a newspaper column.
Several court cases have attempted to legalize polygamy using the same arguments used to legalize “gay marriage”
The Toronto school board has prevented parents from opting kids out of pro-homosexual curriculum. The board considers it human rights education and not subject to religious objections.
The government of Ontario is demanding that Catholic schools comply with homosexual equity policy. This includes acceptance of homosexual clubs. In addition, children as young as 4 are taught about homosexual marriage from a book entitled, Mom and Mum are getting Married! Parents have no right to opt their children out of this instruction.
An elderly couple who rent out a room in their home were accused of discrimination for refusing to allow homosexual men from sharing a bedroom in their home.
The Marriage Protection Amendment will help prevent these types of consequences from occurring in Minnesota. Vote Yes for the Minnesota Marriage Protection Amendment.
Children raised by same-sex parents are worse off THAN those raised by Traditionally married parents
Watch this short video to see the evidence.
Here are the main points made in the video:
Children raised in a same-sex “married” household are much worse off than children raised in a household of a married mother and father. This is the findings of two academic studies. There are highly significant negative outcome for children raise from same-sex “parents” and those raise by married mothers and fathers.
On twenty-five of those measures a person raised in a same sex family was worse off than a person raised in a traditional family of a married mother and father. The study showed no outcome where a person raised in a same sex family was more positively impacted than a person raised in a traditional. In fact, a person raised in a same sex family was…
10 times more likely to be sexually touched by an adult
4 times more likely to be forced into sex
30% less likely to identify themselves as heterosexual
3 times more likely to have had an affair
4 times more likely to be on welfare
3 times more likely to be unemployed experience less educational attainment
2 times more likely to have a sexually transmitted disease
2 times more likely to consider suicide
2 times more likely to have been in therapy
Another study by Loren Marks at the Louisiana state University scrutinized other studies on gay parenting, which found no significant differences, and found they were unreliable because the sample sizes for the studies were too small
Same sex couples cannot give what they do not have: love provided from both a mother and father. Children do best in a household with their married mother and father.
The Benefits to Children of Having a Mom and a Dad who are Married to Each Other
Watch this short video that explains that children do better with a married Mom and Dad.
Here are the main points from the video:
Marriage is more than two adults coming together to form a committed union. It is the most pro-child institution ever created. God is the author of marriage. Marriage is not merely a political issue.
30 years of research tell us that children do best when raised by their mother and father. Here is an example: The facts scream out – two-parent families are better for children Research reveals that children receive the following benefits when raised by their married mother and father.
Greater family stability
Greater physical, mental and emotional health
Less likely to live in poverty
Greater educational attainment
Less likely to commit a crime
Safer from abuse and violence
More likely to get better jobs
Children do best when they are raised by their married mother and father. Children deserve a Mom and a Dad.
Why is marriage between one man and one woman worth preserving?
This week’s lesson will provide a short video each day explaining why the citizens of Minnesota should vote yes for marriage between one man and one woman. Today, watch this short that explains why the marriage between one man and one woman is worth preserving.
Here are the main points conveyed in the video:
Why is marriage between one man and one woman worth preserving?
The institution of marriage predates government and has served as the foundation for society for thousands of years.
Marriage is the foundation for the family. Virtually every society throughout history has defined marriage as between one man and one woman. Why? Children. Government regulates and licenses marriage primarily to protect the interests of children. Only the sexual union of a man and a woman can produce a child, and that child deserves to be raised by the mother and father.
Studies show that children do best when raised by a married mother and father.

Don’t Copy Europe’s Mistakes: Less Government Is the Right Way to Fix Healthcare
In this CF&P Foundation video, Eline van den Broek explains that government interference is driving up healthcare costs in America and warns that European style health “reform” will make the situation even worse. Watch this short video to find out why.
Here are the main points of the video:
Eline vandenBroek, of the European Independent Institute says that that the US healthcare system needs reform. It is complicated with too many third party payers and as the chart below depicts, is the most expensive in the world. Making the US healthcare system more like Europe’s is a big mistake.
Obamacare establishes universal insurance coverage financed by tax increases and restrictions on Medicare. This is not the correct approach. Many politicians say that Europe’s healthcare is better and cheaper. This is not the case for three reasons:
Universal healthcare means the right to get into a waiting line.
Universal insurance mandates means that politicians and bureaucrats decide what is covered and what is not. This grows the government bureaucracy and limits patient choices.
Price controls do not work or reduce costs. They merely create shortages.
Medicare and Medicaid account for over 50% of US healthcare costs. This is leading to socialized medicine. Furthermore, private health insurance acts like a prepaid healthcare account, in which routine medical care is covered. This leads to overuse and a lack of concern for what it costs. (What would happen if auto insurance included gasoline and oil changes? Consumers would no longer care what gasoline and oil changes would cost because the insurance company would paying for it).
In the US we have a third-party payer problem. 90% of healthcare costs are paid by the government or insurance companies. However, cosmetic surgery and laser eye surgery do not have a third-party payer problem, and as a result the costs are much lower, as the chart below depicts.
Health insurance should cover large unanticipated healthcare calamities, like auto insurance covers car crashes and homeowners insurance covers fires, etc. The consumer should directly pay for routine healthcare costs.
