Can marriage be redefined without it having an impact on society? NO! The meaning of marriage will change for everyone. Watch this short video to find out why.
Here are the main points of the video:
When marriage is redefined to make it genderless, all sorts of undesirable consequences occur. In Washington State the terms “husband” and “wife” were made to be gender neutral. So, a man can legally be called a “wife” and a woman a “husband.” Do you want your children being taught that men can have husbands and women wives?
In California and Canada children are taught that they can “choose” their own gender. Fourth graders are taught that they can choose to be a boy or a girl or even both genders. “It’s up to them.” In Canada elementary school children are taught that there are as many as six genders.
In California, gay rights groups are demanding that children can have three legal parents. Why stop at three? Why in fact not allow three or more people marrying? The arguments used for gay marriage are the same arguments used by those advocating polygamy.
Those are just some of the consequences of redefining marriage. Marriage is one man and one woman. That is what’s best for society and for children. Vote Yes for the Minnesota Marriage Protection Amendment
A Look at Consequences of “gay marriage” in Europe
Several countries in Europe have legalized same sex marriages for years. This short video explains the consequences.
Here are some of the consequences of legalizing “gay marriage” in Europe:
In 2004 Swedish pastor Ake Green was sentenced to one month in jail for showing disrespect to homosexuals in a sermon he delivered from the pulpit in 2003. In Sweden the Disrespect Law trumps both freedom of religion and freedom of speech.
Since the Netherlands have passed same sex marriage, the out-of-wedlock birthrate has skyrocketed, increasing 10-fold since 1980.
In England, even though same sex marriage has not been legalized, there is an atmosphere of oppression of those who believe in traditional marriage as a Law Society bans a marriage conference because it contradicts the Law Society’s diversity policy!
A Christian counselor was disciplined for helping a gay patient who had asked for her help to overcome homosexual attraction.
Consequences in Canada for recognizing Gay Marriage
Canada has recognized gay marriage for many years. In this short video, see what negative consequences have occurred.
Here are the some of the consequences of recognizing “gay marriage” in Canada:
A national sportscaster, Damian Goddar was fired for tweeting his support of traditional marriage.
Bishop Fred Henry of Calgary was investigated by the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal for writing about the Catholic Church’s teaching about homosexuality in a newspaper column.
Several court cases have attempted to legalize polygamy using the same arguments used to legalize “gay marriage”
The Toronto school board has prevented parents from opting kids out of pro-homosexual curriculum. The board considers it human rights education and not subject to religious objections.
The government of Ontario is demanding that Catholic schools comply with homosexual equity policy. This includes acceptance of homosexual clubs. In addition, children as young as 4 are taught about homosexual marriage from a book entitled, Mom and Mum are getting Married! Parents have no right to opt their children out of this instruction.
An elderly couple who rent out a room in their home were accused of discrimination for refusing to allow homosexual men from sharing a bedroom in their home.
The Marriage Protection Amendment will help prevent these types of consequences from occurring in Minnesota. Vote Yes for the Minnesota Marriage Protection Amendment.
Children raised by same-sex parents are worse off THAN those raised by Traditionally married parents
Watch this short video to see the evidence.
Here are the main points made in the video:
Children raised in a same-sex “married” household are much worse off than children raised in a household of a married mother and father. This is the findings of two academic studies. There are highly significant negative outcome for children raise from same-sex “parents” and those raise by married mothers and fathers.
On twenty-five of those measures a person raised in a same sex family was worse off than a person raised in a traditional family of a married mother and father. The study showed no outcome where a person raised in a same sex family was more positively impacted than a person raised in a traditional. In fact, a person raised in a same sex family was…
10 times more likely to be sexually touched by an adult
4 times more likely to be forced into sex
30% less likely to identify themselves as heterosexual
3 times more likely to have had an affair
4 times more likely to be on welfare
3 times more likely to be unemployed experience less educational attainment
2 times more likely to have a sexually transmitted disease
2 times more likely to consider suicide
2 times more likely to have been in therapy
Another study by Loren Marks at the Louisiana state University scrutinized other studies on gay parenting, which found no significant differences, and found they were unreliable because the sample sizes for the studies were too small
Same sex couples cannot give what they do not have: love provided from both a mother and father. Children do best in a household with their married mother and father.
Why is marriage between one man and one woman worth preserving?
This week’s lesson will provide a short video each day explaining why the citizens of Minnesota should vote yes for marriage between one man and one woman. Today, watch this short that explains why the marriage between one man and one woman is worth preserving.
Here are the main points conveyed in the video:
Why is marriage between one man and one woman worth preserving?
The institution of marriage predates government and has served as the foundation for society for thousands of years.
Marriage is the foundation for the family. Virtually every society throughout history has defined marriage as between one man and one woman. Why? Children. Government regulates and licenses marriage primarily to protect the interests of children. Only the sexual union of a man and a woman can produce a child, and that child deserves to be raised by the mother and father.
Studies show that children do best when raised by a married mother and father.

Ravi Zacharias, a respected religious scholar and speaker about Christianity and the Bible, explains why Christianity is not intolerant about homosexuality. Watch the following video to learn more…
In the video the Zacharias makes the following points:
How can Christianity condemn racism but condemn homosexuals? Christianity condemns racism because a person’s race is sacred. You cannot violate it. Christianity condemns the issue of homosexuality because sexuality is sacred. We dare not violate it. Sex is a sacred gift from God.
When God created man and woman, He said it is not good for a man to live alone. Man was not living alone; God was with him. So why did he say that? God created woman so she could uniquely meet the emotional needs of man. God made woman complementary to man.
The human mid reacts to sight, is entertained by the imagination, and gives all kinds of false hints. A proclivity does not justify expressing that proclivity. Henri Nouwen was a priest and then professor at Harvard University. He went to the State Hermitage Museum in Leningrad and saw Rembrandt’s The Return of the Prodigal Son. He couldn’t take his eyes off the painting for 3 hours. It changed his life. He resigned from Harvard and went to work with the mentally retarded in Toronto. He wrote a book about it, and also disclosed that dispositionally he was a homosexual. However, he never fulfilled that disposition for the sake of Christ.
What does it take to belong to a community of believers? You must accept their doctrines, code of conduct, etc. To be a Christian you cannot say that 90% of the Bible is rubbish and 10% is OK. You must accept the doctrines and code of conduct provided by the Bible. That is why Christianity condemns homosexual behavior.
Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 says that people who practice homosexual behavior (along with thieves, the greedy, drunkards, slanderers, swindlers) will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words if you know that it is wrong and continue to do it, that is an indication you will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.
In the beginning God created man and woman to become one flesh (Genesis 2:24).
That is God’s idea of sexuality. Man and woman are created complementary so they form one flesh. To do so in an alternative way is a distortion.
When you exchange the glory of God for idols, the idol you have is yourself. Therefore, we are prone to fall in love with the same sex. “Same-sex attraction is a dysfunctional form of idolatry.” However, it is not the only form of self-idolatry
Piper also counsels those struggling with same-sex attraction
Here are the points that Schumacher presents about homosexuality and same-sex marriage:
If the word marriage can mean the union of a man and a man or a woman and a woman, why not three or more men or three or more women? Why not a man with a child? Why not a man with an animal?
Other countries in the world recognize polygamy, should we?
Is anything wrong? Are there absolute moral standards? Without absolute standards, choice is based on emotion or opinion.
If someone says, “It‟s wrong to discriminate against homosexual behavior” You can reply, “Who are you to say homosexual behavior is morally right?”
Are homosexuals born that way?
In 1940s only 9% said they were born that way
In 1950s only 35% said they were born that way
Today, nearly 100% say they are born that way
Even so, if you are born self-centered or selfish, does that make it right? If there was a “Pedophile Gene” would that make it right? There is a difference between inherited physical characteristics (brown eyes) over which I have no control and impulses over which I have control.
Reduces lifespan of males by 8 to 20 years
Despite representing less than 5 percent of the American population, they represent over 50 percent of HIV/AIDS cases.
Many have had between 101 and 500 sexual partners over their lifetimes
He also reviews the Bible’s condemnation of homosexual behavior and support of traditional marriage and answers typical gay objections.
